Chief Finance Officer (CFO) – London South

About the role

We are seeking a self‑employed Chief Finance Officer to deliver part‑time CFO services to ambitious private businesses in London South. You will work independently while being supported by The CFO Centre’s network of senior finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and advisory services to owners of £2‑50 M companies.
• Build and manage a personal portfolio of clients, delivering tailored finance solutions and supporting growth, acquisition or consolidation initiatives.
• Deliver financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting that align with each client’s strategic goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients make data‑driven decisions.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director and a collegiate team of CFOs to share best practices and maintain high service standards.

Required profile

• Qualified member of a UK chartered accounting institute (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director in a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance, business strategy and the ability to build long‑lasting client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and develop new business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with CEOs, MDs and entrepreneurs.
