Childcare Assessor

About the role
We are looking for a qualified Childcare Assessor to work full‑time on a long‑term basis with learners in early years settings across North East London. You will support candidates as they build portfolios and progress towards their Early Years and Childcare qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out workplace observations in nurseries and other early years settings.
- Assess learner evidence against qualification standards.
- Guide learners in completing e‑portfolios and tracking progress.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to facilitate achievement.
- Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with employers, nurseries and internal quality teams to support learner progression.
Required profile
- Level 3 or higher Early Years/Childcare qualification.
- Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA or A1.
- Experience in early years, childcare or vocational training.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Capability to manage a caseload of learners.
