Children's Home Deputy Manager

About the role
Join Compass Community as a Deputy Manager in a children’s home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred care. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment where each child can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support residential staff on shift.
- Create and manage staff rotas and lead team meetings.
- Ensure placement plans and educational support are followed.
- Maintain and update policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Safeguard the welfare of each child and provide guidance to the wider team.
Required profile
- 22 years of age or older (to meet Ofsted regulations).
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare working with young people.
- Valid manual driving licence.

- £100 bonus for a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and £200 for ‘Outstanding’.
