Children's Home Deputy Manager

About the role

Join Compass Community as a Deputy Manager in a children’s home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred care. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment where each child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support residential staff on shift.
• Create and manage staff rotas and lead team meetings.
• Ensure placement plans and educational support are followed.
• Maintain and update policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Safeguard the welfare of each child and provide guidance to the wider team.

Required profile

• 22 years of age or older (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare working with young people.
• Valid manual driving licence.
