Chilled Intake Team Leader (with Forklift Licence)

About the role

Albert Bartlett is looking for an experienced and motivated Chilled Intake Team Leader to lead its weekend intake operation at the Airdrie site. The role suits someone with experience in food manufacturing, warehouse operations or logistics who wants to move into leadership in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The shift pattern is 7 days over 14 days, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the Chilled Intake team across the weekend shift.
• Ensure all raw materials are received, checked and booked into stock accurately.
• Manage labour resources to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and implement improvements where required.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times.
• Conduct team briefings, support training and development, and complete shift reports and operational records.
• Liaise with Production, Planning, Technical and Warehouse teams and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, logistics or warehouse operations.
• Food manufacturing or FMCG experience.
• Experience of intake, goods-in, warehouse or inventory management operations.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (counterbalance).
• IT literate with experience of stock control or warehouse systems.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, and ability to motivate teams.
