Claims Technician - Domestic Major Loss (London)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Technician (internally called Adjusting Executive) in London. This is a technical assistant role supporting the Loss Adjuster in handling domestic major loss claims, acting as the first point of contact for claimants and guiding them through the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for claimants, explaining complex details clearly and negotiating fair settlements
• Decipher claim details and recommend settlements
• Collaborate with contractors to get repairs completed
• Work from the office or from home within a supportive team

Required profile

• Previous experience in a claims environment is essential
• Experience managing property claims
• Conscientious, hard-working, flexible and adaptable during periods of high volume
• All backgrounds are welcome, including those returning to work

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills, speaking with and writing to policyholders, insurers and contractors
• Ability to explain complex details clearly and negotiate settlements
