Senior Management Accountant

About the role

Envoy Global, a provider of technology and services for the global immigration space, is expanding its international operations and is looking for a hands-on Senior Management Accountant based in London. The role oversees the financial activities of the company, covering month-end and year-end reporting, tax and VAT compliance, budget and forecast, cash forecasting and banking duties. It covers the UK business unit and smaller entities in India, Hong Kong and Germany, and is a hybrid position with onsite days a few times a month.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly close: journal entries, monthly reporting with revenue details and variance analysis, and monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet with audit-ready documentation
• Ensure revenue and cost recognition align with GAAP and IFRS, and streamline the month-end process to a 5-day turnaround
• VAT and tax: prepare, review and file VAT returns and other tax obligations on time, liaising with external tax advisors and auditors
• Audits and internal controls: support external audits, improve monthly close and reporting processes, and help implement new finance systems
• Budgeting and forecasting: contribute to regular forecasting and the annual budget with the Financial Planning team
• Cash flow: maintain daily cash reporting and 13-week cash projections, and process payments and collections accurately
• Banking: manage day-to-day banking transactions, bank reconciliations, foreign exchange and currency risk, and maintain relationships with banking partners
• Mentor finance team members and assist the EMEA Financial Controller with ad hoc duties

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting
• Qualified professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
• 3-5 years of experience as a management accountant in a similar industry
• Experience in a strong control environment
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices and regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
