Class 2 Driver – Waste Collection

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join its growing fleet in Portsmouth. You will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste, ensuring safe and efficient service to local communities while supporting the company’s environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to scheduled collection points and empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift and handle bins of various sizes and weights.
• Perform daily vehicle checks in line with the driver operator handbook.
• Enter route and collection data into the onboard system and submit paperwork each day.
• Comply with all traffic legislation, including load security and weight limits.
• Maintain a clean carriageway, cleaning any spillages promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Current CPC/Digi card.
• Desirable: previous experience in waste management.
