Class 2 HGV Driver – Full‑time – Portbury

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Class 2 HGV driver to join our Portbury depot. You will operate our trucks from early mornings, delivering ambient, chilled and frozen food products to customers across the South West. The role offers a competitive salary and the chance to earn additional earnings through attendance bonuses and overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ambient, chilled and frozen goods to retail and catering customers on assigned routes.
• Ensure deliveries are made safely, on time and in compliance with food‑hygiene standards.
• Complete load plans, maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures.
• Inspect vehicle and cargo before and after each journey, reporting any issues.
• Collaborate with depot staff and customers to resolve delivery queries.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence and CPC card.
• Proactive attitude with a strong focus on safety and service quality.
• Ability to work a shift pattern that includes early starts and occasional Saturdays.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
