About the role
We are looking for a reliable Class 2 Refuse and Recycling Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow. You will operate a refuse collection vehicle and work alongside loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
- Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
- Work closely with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Adhere to road traffic legislation and health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public.
Required profile
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and vehicle safety regulations.
- Previous refuse or waste collection experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
