About the role
We are looking for a reliable Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow. The role involves operating a refuse collection vehicle and working closely with a crew of loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report defects.
- Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
- Collaborate with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Adhere to road traffic legislation and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public.
Required profile
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and vehicle safety regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
