Class 2 Refuse Driver – Southampton

About the role

Berry Recruitment is seeking a reliable Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a local authority team at the Millbrook depot in Southampton. This full‑time contractor position runs Monday to Friday, 6 am‑4 pm, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle to collect paper, green waste, household waste and special collections.
• Assist with loading and unloading refuse where required.
• Perform heavy lifting in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
• Interact with customers in a professional, courteous manner.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 driving licence with proven experience driving similar vehicles.
• Current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) certificate.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Ability to work responsibly, safely and on schedule.
