Classroom Assistant – Immediate Start in Devizes

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Classroom Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Devizes. The role supports teachers across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to deliver engaging lessons and nurture each child's learning journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering creative, well‑structured lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils, including those with ASD or learning difficulties.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support the delivery of core subjects such as Maths and English, as well as foundation subjects like Geography and PE.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to promote positive behaviour and student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or experienced classroom assistant eager to develop an education career.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to adapt to the varied needs of a primary‑school classroom.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience supporting children with behavioural or learning challenges (desirable).
