About the role
This fellowship provides doctors who have completed core surgical training with an opportunity to develop clinical education and research expertise in general surgery. Two posts are available within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver educational sessions and support for surgical trainees.
- Design, conduct and disseminate research projects in general surgery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve surgical practice.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement activities.
Required profile
- Completed core surgical training or equivalent (minimum two years post‑Foundation experience).
- Interest in pursuing higher surgical training or a non‑training registrar‑level career.
- Eligibility to work in the UK NHS.
