Clinical Pharmacist – Modern Outpatient Pharmacy Service

About the role

This position is for a Clinical Pharmacist to join a growing outpatient pharmacy service within a leading Brighton hospital. You will work alongside an experienced pharmacy team, delivering high‑quality patient care while helping to shape a modern pharmacy service.

Key responsibilities

• Clinically screen and validate outpatient prescriptions to ensure safety and appropriateness.
• Provide expert medicines information, advice and counselling to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Support safe dispensing and supply of medicines, including high‑risk medications.
• Act as the Responsible Pharmacist when required, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Deliver clinical services, accuracy‑checking activities and patient‑facing pharmacy services.
• Identify and resolve medication‑related issues, escalating concerns as needed.
• Monitor prescription volumes and contribute to service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Qualified to work in an outpatient/hospital pharmacy setting.
• Willingness to work 38.5 hours per week on‑site in Brighton.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative practice.
