Clinical Psychologist – Staff Support

About the role

The role provides evidence‑based psychological assessment, formulation and therapy to NHS and IJB staff, supporting the wellbeing of the workforce in Dumfries and Galloway.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group psychological therapies to staff members.
• Conduct assessments and formulate treatment plans based on evidence‑based approaches.
• Provide supervision and CPD opportunities for trainees and junior therapists.
• Collaborate with university partners and contribute to training placements.
• Maintain a flexible working pattern, balancing remote work with on‑site clinical needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the appropriate professional body.
• Experience delivering psychological therapy within an NHS or similar healthcare setting.
• Commitment to staff wellbeing and ability to work both remotely and on‑site.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Required skills

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
