Clinical Research Fellow – Haematology (12‑month fixed term)

About the role

The Royal Marsden is seeking a Clinical Research Fellow in Haematology for a 12‑month fixed‑term appointment. The role combines inpatient and outpatient clinical duties with a strong focus on research, including clinical trials and laboratory work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with haematological malignancies in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Design, set up and manage clinical trials related to haematology.
• Conduct laboratory research, with a specific project on arginine deprivation in acute myeloid leukaemia.
• Prepare and submit an MDRes under the supervision of Dr Taussig.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Royal Marsden and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Required profile

• Qualified doctor (SHO level) with an interest in haematology.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for clinical and translational research.
• Ability to work both in a clinical environment and a research laboratory.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Clinical trial conduct and management.
• Laboratory research techniques.
• Knowledge of haematology and acute myeloid leukaemia.
