Clinical Support Worker - Addiction Recovery Team

About the role

NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting a Clinical Support Worker for its Addiction Recovery Team. The post-holder delivers care for patients in a hospital or community setting, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and regularly without direct supervision, referring to the nurse as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including physical, emotional, psychological and personal care, in line with the agreed care plan.
• Take part in social, therapeutic and recreational activities set out in the care plan.
• Respect patient confidentiality and the rights and choices of patients and carers, sharing information only where required by guidance and protocol.
• Act in line with NHS Lanarkshire's guiding values and help maintain the good standing of the service.

Required profile

• SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards it, or equivalent experience in a caring environment or role.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary or agency team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to carry out patient care tasks in a busy environment.
• A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required.
