Clothing & Equipment Officer (Part‑Time, Temporary)

About the role

Join the Dorset Police Force as a Clothing & Equipment Officer, supporting uniform and gear provision for officers and staff. This part‑time, temporary position offers the chance to make a tangible impact on public safety operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store and distribute uniforms, body armour and other equipment across three administrative hubs.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Officers to place accurate orders for uniforms and personal issue equipment.
• Measure staff, organise fitting days for large groups and liaise with external providers to resolve sizing issues.
• Produce weekly reports for external suppliers on officer relocations and attend the Clothing and Equipment User Group.
• Assist officers with medical‑related uniform adjustments and explore suitable alternatives.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong administrative experience with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented and customer‑service driven.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
