Commercial Account Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join an established independent insurance brokerage in Shrewsbury. The role involves managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, delivering high‑quality service and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, handling renewals, mid‑term adjustments and new business enquiries.
• Prepare accurate insurance documentation and technical information for clients and insurers.
• Liaise with clients and insurers to arrange appropriate commercial insurance cover.
• Support the development of new business opportunities and assist clients throughout the claims process.
• Maintain accurate client and policy records in line with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Achieve agreed service levels, KPIs and build long‑term relationships with clients and insurers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commercial Account Handler, Insurance position or similar role.
• Confident communication with clients and insurance providers.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Customer‑service focus with relationship‑building capability.
• Comfortable managing a varied workload and multiple client requirements.

What we offer

• Negotiable salary depending on experience (GBP 28,000 – 36,000 per year).
• Permanent, full‑time position with Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm hours.
