Commercial Account Handler

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, is looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join its Consumer & Local Commercial team in Shrewsbury. The local Commercial team has grown rapidly over 14 years and now has over 200 people across the UK. You will build rapport with new and existing clients, ranging from sole traders to the MD/CEO of a large organisation, and work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review client documentation so that the information is comprehensive and accurate, supporting the quoting process
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts to meet expectations and compliance standards
• Assist the Commercial Account Executives in achieving high levels of renewal retention, exceeding customer expectations and meeting FCA requirements
• Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support client service, internal processes and informed analysis

• Strong attention to detail when reviewing client documentation
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts
• Willingness to learn and progress your career as a Commercial Account Handler
