Commercial Boiler Service Engineer – Field Based (South East England)

About the role

This permanent, field‑based position involves installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing temporary heating and cooling equipment for commercial and industrial customers across the South East of England. You will work from home and travel to customer sites, supported by a depot in Andover or Rochester and a company vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission temporary heating and cooling systems at customer locations, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Service and prepare equipment before delivery, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call‑outs, providing timely on‑site support.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, servicing, repairs and safety inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, codes of practice and manufacturer requirements.
• Travel regularly across the South East, working independently and professionally with customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial heating equipment.
• Relevant gas qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, ICAE1); additional 18th Edition, OFTEC or F‑Gas qualifications are advantageous.
• Safety‑first mindset with the ability to work independently on site.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the South East.

• Diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities for gas‑based systems.
• Knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance procedures.

• £47,000–£50,000 basic salary plus overtime paid at 1.5×.
