Commercial & Contract Manager

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a Commercial and Contract Manager to lead commercial and contract management across complex engineering-led technology engagements. Working with Sales, Delivery, Legal, Finance and client stakeholders, you will cover the full contract lifecycle, from bid and negotiation through to delivery, governance, risk management and contract closure. The role is hybrid, combining company offices, client sites and home.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial terms and manage client contracts
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Provide guidance on contract compliance, governance and obligations
• Support financial performance through revenue protection, margin optimisation and reporting
• Manage contract changes so delivery stays aligned with contractual commitments
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence decision-makers
• Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement and delivery teams to resolve commercial matters
• Support claims, disputes and contract variations while keeping strong client relationships

Required profile

• Previous commercial and contract management experience in a large, matrix environment
• Broad experience of IT sales and service delivery
• Experience of IT engineering solutions and services is desirable
• UK Security Check (SC) clearance is highly desirable

Required skills

• Understanding of commercial models, pricing mechanisms, risk allocation, liability frameworks and contract governance
• Knowledge of legal and commercial principles relevant to technology and outsourcing agreements
• Excellent client-facing and negotiation skills, proactive problem solving and lateral thinking
• Ability to deal with complex commercial and legal issues and build strategic relationships
