Commercial Finance Analyst – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position sits within a leading organisation’s Finance team, offering a hybrid working model (2 days in the office, 3 days remote). You will work closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders across digital operations, marketing, e‑commerce and operations, delivering insight that shapes commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders across digital operations and marketing functions.
• Produce accurate management reporting, including variance analysis, commentary and performance insights.
• Support month‑end activities such as reporting, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Partner with marketing, e‑commerce, operations and finance teams to enable effective decision‑making.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, identifying risks, opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Analyse expenditure and performance trends, recommending cost optimisation and profitability enhancements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and improve existing processes.
• Prepare reporting packs and present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for key business initiatives.

Required profile

• Proactive, commercially‑minded finance professional with strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in a commercial finance or management accounting environment.
• Part‑qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non‑finance teams.
• Curious mindset with a passion for uncovering the story behind the numbers.
• Strong organisational skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
