Commercial Insurance Account Handler – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join our Bristol office. The role involves managing a portfolio of commercial clients and supporting the insurance broking process from renewal through to new business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer day‑to‑day account activities, act as the primary contact for routine enquiries and issue documentation such as invoices, summaries and certificates.
• Assist Account Directors in presenting risks to underwriters and negotiating terms.
• Liaise with insurers and clients throughout the insurance cycle.
• Manage your own book of commercial clients, handling renewals, mid‑term adjustments and new business submissions.
• Process premiums ranging from £25k to over £250k per policy class.
• Cross‑sell additional insurance products where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the insurance industry, preferably commercial insurance.
• Strong communication and administration abilities.
• Capable of organising workflow and prioritising tasks with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with the Acturis platform is desirable but not essential.
