Commercial Loss Adjuster – Remote (South East England)

About the role

Our client, a major insurer, is looking for a Commercial Loss Adjuster to manage a portfolio of commercial claims from start to finish. Working from a home base in Kent, you will book appointments, visit loss sites, and drive each claim to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Assess allocated commercial loss sites, gather evidence and determine loss value.
• Prepare and deliver case decisions, negotiate settlements via the supply chain or cash payouts.
• Provide precautionary and post‑loss advice to minimise future exposure.
• Maintain efficient, courteous customer interactions and escalate complex cases as needed.
• Contribute to policy wording reviews and coach technical colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling commercial loss adjustments on a self‑sufficient basis.
• Ability to manage a caseload of 50‑60 active claims and around 160 new losses per year.
• Progression towards professional qualifications (e.g., CII/ CILA) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Symbility scheduling and claims management tool.
