Commercial Manager – Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a fast‑growing contractor specialising in façade and cladding packages. The role is hybrid, based in London with office, home and site work.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of commercial performance of the division’s contract portfolio.
• Manage supply‑chain and client‑facing commercial obligations, including applications for payment, variations and extensions of time.
• Lead the monthly CVR (Cost‑Value‑Report) cycle and present findings to senior management and the Board.
• Work closely with Contracts Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and informed decision‑making.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier processes in line with contract terms.

Required profile

• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor at senior level.
• Contractor‑side experience; client or consultancy background only considered with significant contractor exposure.
• Experience in the façade, cladding or specialist envelope sector.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contract forms and managing applications, variations and extensions of time.
• Proven ability to manage the full commercial cycle from award to final account.
• Experience presenting CVR reports to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
