Commercial Operations Lead

About the role

At Zinc, we’re rapidly technologi­sing how we serve candidates, recruiters and customers while preserving the quality of our service. The Commercial Operations Lead will own the commercial and revenue side of Core Ops, ensuring trustworthy data and processes across marketing, partnerships, sales, outbound and renewals. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll partner with commercial leaders and run a small analyst team as a player‑coach.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and Outbound to align on goals, metrics and revenue strategy.
• Own the commercial data model, pipeline and forecasting with a consistent definition of leads, opportunities and renewals.
• Manage renewals, upsell, partner/outbound pipelines, risk flagging and the CS‑to‑sales handoff.
• Lead ad‑hoc RevOps initiatives and special projects in collaboration with the Head of Ops and other department heads.
• Run and grow a small analyst team, acting as a hands‑on player‑coach.

Required profile

• Proven revenue‑operations experience running ops for a sales, marketing or RevOps function at a similar‑stage company.
• Fluency with CRM systems (HubSpot) and ability to enforce clean data standards.
• Strong BI/reporting skills (Sigma) and capability to build dashboards and analyses.
• People‑management experience or clear readiness to manage direct reports.
• Influential communicator who can work with senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Hands‑on, player‑coach mindset and ability to structure ambiguous commercial processes.
