Commercial Property Adjuster

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Adjuster to manage claims across Bromley and Outer London, with the possibility of covering neighbouring areas. The role involves delivering a customer‑focused, cost‑effective service from claim instruction through to completion, handling commercial claims typically up to £100,000.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical and virtual site inspections to assess, validate and manage commercial property claims.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle claims in line with competency levels and Aviva’s commercial property system.
• Support customers and all claim stakeholders while controlling indemnity spend.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate claim handling and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a loss adjuster in commercial property, preferably holding or working towards DIP CILA/DIP CII qualifications.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance wordings, material damage and consequential loss.
• Understanding of property construction, occupied premises, and flood/escape of water/fire damage management.
• Familiarity with health and safety, asbestos regulations and related legislation.
• Customer‑focused attitude with high integrity and IT literacy.
