Community Staff Nurse – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

This full‑time permanent position is for a Staff Nurse within the NE District Nursing Service, delivering community‑based, person‑centred care to patients in their own homes across the Greater Glasgow area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, safe nursing care to a community caseload, working with patients, families and carers.
• Assess, plan and implement evidence‑based care programmes and complex clinical interventions.
• Respond to both planned and urgent/unplanned care needs, prioritising urgent patient requirements.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid UK NMC pin (Part 1 or equivalent) and full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and make sound clinical decisions in a community setting.
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Competent IT skills, including use of digital systems for clinical documentation and communication.
• Experience with complex nursing procedures and long‑term condition management.
