Compliance Analyst (AML, KYB, Transaction Monitoring)

About the role

Lorum is building its compliance function as it scales into USD, EUR and GBP clearing, and you will help shape it. This is a hybrid role with 4 days per week in the London office in Fitzrovia, reporting to the Head of Compliance Operations. The team is international, split across Dubai, Zurich, Singapore and New York, covering onboarding, transaction monitoring and reliance reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Review transaction-monitoring alerts, investigate unusual activity end to end and decide whether to clear, escalate or hold, with a clean audit trail.
• Own KYB and corporate onboarding reviews, assessing structure, beneficial ownership and risk factors.
• Run reliance reviews on client AML programs, handle outbound RFIs and respond to inbound ones from banks and partner banks.
• Support remediation with clients and offboard relationships that no longer fit the risk profile.
• Flag rules and processes that create noise and help design better ones, including where AI and automation can take over repetitive checks.

Required profile

• 1-2 years in AML, compliance or financial-crime work, with the drive to learn the other areas of compliance operations.
• Hands-on with tooling: reading RegTech API documentation, understanding risk-engine rules and using AI to speed casework.
• Able to write up and defend decisions under audit scrutiny.
• Experience in a fast-moving, not fully settled environment, such as a scale-up.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with tools such as Flagright, ComplyAdvantage, Feedzai, Actimize, BAE Systems or Dotfile.
• SQL, Tableau or Power BI.
• SAR/UAR authorship, reliance-review ownership or fintech/payments/digital-asset background.
