Compliance and Privacy Specialist – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

The Compliance and Privacy Specialist will ensure the organisation operates in line with regulatory, privacy and internal compliance requirements. Working on a 6‑month contract, you will embed strong data‑governance practices and support business teams to manage personal and sensitive information responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, update and maintain compliance and privacy policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor adherence to regulatory, contractual and organisational expectations across the business.
• Support internal and external audit activities, preparing evidence and ensuring remediation actions are completed.
• Collaborate with data‑governance, risk, legal and monitoring teams to address privacy‑related issues and escalate risks.
• Contribute to awareness and training initiatives to strengthen organisational understanding of compliance obligations.
• Provide guidance on the compliant use of data in projects, ensuring privacy‑by‑design principles are embedded.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated industry with exposure to compliance, privacy or data‑governance.
• Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) is desirable.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, data‑lifecycle management and privacy principles.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical operational controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and influence across functions.
