Conference and Events Manager

About the role

The Conference and Events Manager will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of conferences, exhibitions, webinars and training events for a professional membership organisation. Working remotely, you will own the events programme, ensuring each event is professionally executed, commercially successful and provides an outstanding experience for delegates, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver the annual conference, exhibitions, webinars, training events and other member‑facing activities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets for each event.
• Build and maintain relationships with venues, suppliers, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
• Oversee delegate registration, ensuring a smooth customer journey from booking to post‑event evaluation.
• Coordinate logistics including venue setup, accommodation, catering, AV requirements and exhibition management.
• Monitor budgets, negotiate contracts and secure value for money.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximise attendance, sponsorship and promotion.
• Analyse event performance using feedback and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing conferences, exhibitions and professional events from concept to delivery.
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel within the UK as required.
• Passion for delivering high‑quality events and continuous improvement.

• Part‑time contract (21 hours per week) with a salary of £38,211 per annum.
