About the role
Join Bouygues UK’s Procurement & Supply Chain team as a Construction Buyer. You will support pre‑construction and live‑project procurement across major construction programmes, including healthcare, education and residential developments.
Key responsibilities
- Support procurement activities from enquiry through to order placement.
- Obtain quotations, perform commercial comparisons and liaise with suppliers.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Assist negotiations to achieve best value and programme outcomes.
- Manage supplier accounts, monitor performance and maintain purchasing records.
- Collaborate with commercial, project and technical teams and help develop strategic supplier relationships.
Required profile
- Experience in a construction buying or procurement role.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience as a main contractor or subcontractor.
Required skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using procurement and ERP systems.
