Construction Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

Join Bouygues UK’s Procurement & Supply Chain team as a Construction Buyer. You will support pre‑construction and live‑project procurement across major construction programmes, including healthcare, education and residential developments.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement activities from enquiry through to order placement.
• Obtain quotations, perform commercial comparisons and liaise with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Assist negotiations to achieve best value and programme outcomes.
• Manage supplier accounts, monitor performance and maintain purchasing records.
• Collaborate with commercial, project and technical teams and help develop strategic supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in a construction buying or procurement role.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience as a main contractor or subcontractor.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using procurement and ERP systems.
