Construction Lecturer – Multiple Trades (Plumbing, Brickwork, Gas, Plastering, Joinery & Carpentry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to join a leading further education provider in Greater Manchester as a Construction Lecturer. You will deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across one or more trades, helping learners progress towards apprenticeships or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in trades such as Plumbing, Brickwork, Gas, Plastering, Joinery and Carpentry.
• Conduct practical workshops, demonstrations and supervise hands‑on activities.
• Prepare learners for assessments and evaluate competence through practical tests, written work and portfolios.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials that meet curriculum standards and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Provide mentorship and support to students of mixed abilities, encouraging their progression.

Required profile

• Industry experience in at least one of the listed trades.
• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 trade qualification.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and safeguarding policies.
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks and background referencing.
