Construction Manager

About the role

FGA Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of steel‑framed industrial building projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage industrial construction and refurbishment projects from start to finish.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Coordinate procurement, source and order materials directly with suppliers.
• Lead Site Managers and subcontractors across all project stages.
• Oversee site activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure works meet quality, compliance and handover documentation standards.
• Attend and lead site meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Travel regularly to sites and maintain a strong on‑site presence.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering steel‑framed industrial buildings.
• Proven ability to manage both new‑build and refurbishment projects.
• Commercially aware, highly organised and decisive on live sites.
• Comfortable working both on‑site with trades and in the office reviewing drawings.
