Construction Manager – Luxury Villa Project in Barcelona

About the role

Utopia is seeking a hands‑on Construction Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of a high‑end luxury villa in Barcelona. The role bridges remote design teams with daily site activities, ensuring the project meets Utopia’s exacting standards for quality, schedule, and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site MEP activities, ensuring strict adherence to approved plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between the construction site and the wider project team, including the Head of Construction.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when required, participating in high‑level meetings and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to execute construction plans, manage schedules, and supervise material procurement.
• Provide technical guidance to in‑house teams, third‑party designers, and contractors.
• Maintain rigorous quality control for Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing installations.
• Identify and resolve technical or safety challenges proactively.

Required profile

• Proactive and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage construction teams and site activities independently.
• Experience leading luxury or high‑end hospitality projects is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona if not already based there.
