Conveyancing Fee Earner / Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner / Paralegal to lead our Residential Conveyancing department in Colchester. The successful candidate will manage a full portfolio of conveyancing matters from initiation through to post‑completion, ensuring high‑quality service for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all types of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold, leasehold, new build and shared ownership.
• Process re‑mortgages, transfers of equity and Help to Buy transactions.
• Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and manage post‑completion matters.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff and liaise with solicitors, lenders and clients.

Required profile

• Qualified or experienced conveyancing professional with a proven track record in residential transactions.
• Strong knowledge of UK property law and conveyancing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
