About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting qualified teachers to deliver core subjects – English, Mathematics or Science – across secondary schools in Hertfordshire. The role starts in September 2026 and is offered on a long‑term, temp‑to‑perm basis, providing the opportunity to work full‑time within a supportive network of schools.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons in the assigned core subject for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare and mark coursework, examinations and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Maintain accurate pupil records and contribute to school‑wide initiatives.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and attend required training.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools – either as an Early Career Teacher (ECT/NQT) or as an experienced teacher.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Mathematics or Science.
- Current right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering the last two years of child‑related work.
Required skills
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (preferably within the last year).
