Corporate Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Corporate Accountant to join the finance team of a leading global private investment firm in Mayfair, London. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office collaboration and flexible working while providing exposure to corporate accounting, statutory reporting, and business partnering across the firm’s UK entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.
• Assist with statutory accounts, year‑end financial statements and audit liaison.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain general‑ledger integrity.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and support corporate tax compliance.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies and accounting processes.
• Produce financial analysis and reports for senior management.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvements.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects across the wider finance function.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience in private equity, investment management, asset management, banking, financial services or a regulated corporate environment.
• Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting experience.
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with strong stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Confidence working with financial systems.
