Corporate Tax Manager – Business Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a leading accountancy practice in Central Reading. The role supports the Corporate Tax Partner and focuses on larger multi‑national clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Generate new fee income and consultancy work from the corporate tax portfolio.
• Manage the tax function, supervise junior staff and ensure high‑quality, timely delivery.
• Oversee the compliance cycle, including preparation and review of CT600 returns and tax accounting provisions.
• Respond to corporate tax queries, prepare partner billing and deliver tax planning advice on domestic and international matters.
• Attend client meetings, present findings and build strong client relationships.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with solid knowledge of UK corporate tax.
• At least 4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a Top 100 or well‑known regional practice.
• Understanding of accounting for tax, including deferred taxation and disclosures.
• Strong commercial awareness, client‑focused attitude and ability to manage change.
• Experience in managing and developing junior staff.
