Cover Supervisor – Flexible Secondary School Cover (Southampton)

About the role
Join Academics as a Cover Supervisor in Southampton, supporting secondary schools when teachers are absent. You will ensure lessons continue smoothly across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, creating a focused learning environment for students.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pre‑assigned lessons in the absence of regular teachers.
- Build rapport quickly with students to maintain engagement.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with each school’s policies.
- Cover a variety of subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work.
Required profile
- UK‑recognised degree or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Valid enhanced DBS check (preferably recent or on the update service); assistance with DBS application is available.
- Based in or willing to travel to Southampton.
