Cover Teacher (PPA) – Primary School – Blackpool

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with an inclusive primary school in Blackpool to find a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher. The role starts in September and offers a long‑term, temporary placement across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons while class teachers are on Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
• Maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively and uphold high expectations.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching across primary age ranges is desirable.
• Flexibility to teach different year groups.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
