Criminology Lead Teacher (Part-time, potential full-time)

About the role
The college is looking for an enthusiastic Criminology Lead Teacher to join its Humanities team. This part-time position can become full-time for candidates who are also able to teach another Humanities subject.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and development of the Criminology curriculum for KS4 and KS5.
- Plan and assess student work, monitor progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.
- Collaborate with the wider Humanities department on curriculum planning and cross-subject initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of classroom practice and behaviour management.
- If moving to full-time, teach an additional Humanities subject such as Sociology, History, Geography or RE.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Criminology at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Effective classroom management and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
- Ability to teach another Humanities subject is desirable for full-time consideration.
