Cruise Operations Supervisor – Port of Tilbury

About the role

Based in the Cruise Department at Port of Tilbury, you will supervise vessel operations, coordinate staff and stakeholders, and ensure a high‑quality experience for cruise passengers and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare terminals for cruise and event activities and ensure all operational requirements are met.
• Liaise with agency labour suppliers to secure appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain a safe environment, complying with legislative and company safety policies.
• Investigate incidents and complete accident and damage reports.
• Develop detailed action plans for each vessel visit, including car‑parking control.
• Supervise vessel operations according to terminal procedures and standards.
• Coordinate shoreside activities with internal teams and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate operational, security and plant usage records and report maintenance needs.
• Provide flexible support across different port assets as required.

Required profile

• Excellent IT and report‑writing abilities.
• Knowledge or understanding of cruise operations.
• Strong communication and safety awareness.
• Problem‑solving capability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full UK working rights.
