Customer Assistant - Part Time

About the role

Sainsbury's is hiring a part-time Customer Assistant for its Frome store (BA11 4DH) on a permanent basis, at £13.23 per hour. The role is 30 hours per week and covers all aspects of customer service and store operations. Shifts are planned within the availability window shown and shared three weeks in advance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service and make customers feel valued
• Help customers wherever needed, such as filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers and selling products
• Use digital tools to deliver good customer experience
• Organise and move stock, keep shelves tidy and clean, and move heavy loads to the right place
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to recommend them confidently

Required profile

• Above the school-leaving age in your country
• Right to work in the UK
• Age 18 or over if the availability window includes shifts before 6.00am or after 11.00pm
• Friendly, enthusiastic about helping customers and able to thrive in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Team player who is flexible and open to learning new digital tools
