Customer Delivery Driver – Gallions Reach (Extra Hours)

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries straight to customers' homes across the Gallions Reach area. The role blends driving, customer interaction and physical work, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely and perform all pre‑delivery checks.
• Explain order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s booked time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to respond quickly to changing customer needs.

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 within the M25.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
