Customer Delivery Driver Technician Trainee 7.5T

About the role

Join John Lewis as a Driver Technician Trainee and complete a 3‑month programme to become a fully qualified Customer Delivery Technician. You will deliver and install large items such as furniture and appliances as part of a two‑person crew, providing the distinctive John Lewis service at customers' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, load deliveries and collaborate with the warehouse team.
• Install products including wall‑mount TVs, integrated appliances and hard‑wired appliances, demonstrating their use.
• Handle heavy lifting of large items such as sofas, white goods, beds and mattresses.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of new products and technologies.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older by start date.
• UK B‑Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Previous customer‑facing experience and strong verbal communication.
• Interest in technology and installation work.

Required skills

• Manual driving licence (B‑Category) and ability to obtain C1 licence.
• Experience with installation of wall‑mount TVs, integrated appliances and hard‑wired appliances.
