Customer Relationship Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Relationship Manager to deliver service excellence and drive new business for large, complex commercial customers. Based in London, you will work within Zurich Commercial Insurance’s market‑leading Customer Team, collaborating with underwriting, claims and risk engineering to grow our high‑value portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep, long‑lasting relationships with customers and London Market brokers, acting as the primary contact for Zurich Commercial Insurance UK.
• Set and execute strategic direction for assigned customers, identifying growth opportunities and leading multi‑line, non‑conventional program designs.
• Coordinate Zurich’s underwriting, claims, and risk engineering teams to present the full suite of products and services.
• Determine appetite, allocate resources, and lead Deal Teams through negotiation and finalisation of deals within agreed timeframes.
• Support business‑line growth by contributing to business plans and maintaining a visible presence with global brokers.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with the ability to build and strengthen lasting relationships.
• Established London Market relationships and a desire to develop new strategic partnerships.
• Proven ability to inspire, influence and challenge teams to deliver best‑in‑class propositions.
• Aptitude for analysing risk, evaluating solutions and making balanced strategic decisions.
• Experience with non‑conventional program structures, alternative risk transfer, captives and risk‑management solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
